形態特徵

• Shrubs, 1–2 m tall; branches and branchlets densely appressed pubescent.
• Leaves chartaceous to subcoriaceous, oblanceolate-oblong or obdeltate, 4–7.5 cm long, 1–2.5 cm broad; base cuneate, apex acuminate-cuspidate; upper surface glabrous, lower surface appressed hirsute on midrib and veins only; secondary veins 6 or 7-pairs, veinlets parallel or subparallel; stipules narrowly deltate, ca. 1 mm long, caducous in age, appressedly hirsute; petioles 4–8mm long, densely appressed hirsute.
• Flowers sessile, ebracteate, (1-)–2–4-flowers in axillary heads. Calyx campanulate, ca. 2 mm long, hirsute outside; lobes 5, ca. 1 mm long. Corolla salverform, ca. 8 mm long, light pink-purple; tube pubescent except near base inside, pubescent outside; lobes 5. Stamens 5, sessile; anthers oblong, 1 mm long. Style filiform, ca. 6 mm long; stigma 5-branched, pink-purple.
• Drupes globose, ca. 5 mm in diam., bluish-purple. Seeds 5.

分布

• 台灣 : in broad-leaved forests in the northern and northeastern parts of the island, about 900–1,300 m.
